On 30 October 2009, FRSIC completed an annual revision of appointments to its voting chairs. The annual revision exercise follows the recent engagement of Abdul Rahim bin Abdul Hamid as the Chairman of FRSIC effective 15 August 2009.

In the recent revision exercise, the Malaysian Institute of Accountants ("MIA") Council has approved the appointments of the following individuals to FRSIC:

Prof. Madya Dr. Ku Nor Izah and Mohamed Raslan are currently serving on the MIA Council while Ng Mi Li and Thong Foo Vung have been involved actively as FRSIC Working Group members prior to their appointment to FRSIC. Besides Dr. Ku Nor Izah who is an Associate Professor of financial accounting at Universiti Utara Malaysia, all three new FRSIC members are attached as technical Directors and Partners of Audit and Assurance divisions of Big 4 accounting firms.

The appointments of the new FRSIC members also coincides with the retirement of Y.Bhg Dato' Nordin Baharuddin from FRSIC and the election of Mr. Ng Kean Kok as the new representative of ACCA Malaysia. With the completion of the annual revision, the total number of FRSIC members has increased to ten from the previous eight voting chairs.
